This chapter is about clean up the Australia. Lan Kiean was taking a part in a round the world sailing race when he noticed alarming amount of garbage in the oceans. He retuing to the home in Australia he felt he had to do something about it. He start closing home by organizing community event in 1989 and called clean up the Sydney. To his surprise more than 40000 volunteer came out to clear away garbage. Encouraged by this success Kiean decide to make the clean- up national event the following year. In the Australia about 300000 people spend many day and make effort to improve their local environment. In 1993, Kiean want to make ambitious program, he launched clean up the world support communities around the world and conserving the environment in the first year more than 30 million people from 80 countries participate.
